Letter of Introduction

Dear Twin Cities Community & Business Partners,

My name is Henry Torres, and I am the founder of Vida y Deportes digital and Events- a media group and community organization rooted in the Twin Cities and dedicated to uplifting the Latine and emerging communities through sports and community storylines, culture, and economic empowerment. I am writing today to formally invite you to our Latine Holiday Festival & Marketplace 2026- a milestone community celebration designed to honor Latine holiday traditions and amplify local small businesses during the most important shopping season of the year.

The Twin Cities is home to one of the fastest-growing Latine communities in the Midwest. Minnesota's Hispanic and Latine population has grown by 38% since 2010, now representing over 345,000 residents a vibrant, economically active community with an estimated $11 billion in annual household income and a labor force participation rate of 77.5%- the highest of any demographic group in the state. These are not statistics. These are our neighbors, our families, our guests- and they are your guests.

The Vida y Deportes Holiday Festival & Marketplace 2026 will bring together 500+ attendees over a vibrant weekend on November 28, 2026. It will feature a Grand Marketplace with 15+ local and minority-owned vendors, a live cultural entertainment stage, a bilingual Kids' Holiday Arts & Crafts Zone, authentic food experiences, community resources, and branded activation opportunities designed to put our partner's name and values at the very heart of a joyful, culturally rich celebration.

I believe deeply in long-term, authentic partnerships- and I believe that our valued partners and Vida y Deportes share a vision: thriving communities where every family has access to joy, commerce, and connection. I would be honored to connect with your team to discuss how this partnership can be structured in a way that delivers measurable return on investment, meaningful community impact, and lasting brand loyalty in the Twin Cities Latine community.

With respect and community pride,

Henry Torres

Event Theme

Celebrating the richness of Latine holiday traditions- Día de los Muertos, Thanksgiving, Las Posadas, Navidad, Nochebuena, and Three Kings Day, through family activities, music, food, and shopping.

The event is anchored in the authentic holiday calendar that Latine families carry with them- a season that begins with the sacred remembrance of Día de los Muertos and extends through the joyful feasting of Nochebuena and the gift-giving magic of Three Kings Day. By centering this full arc of the Latine holiday experience, the Festival offers something genuinely different from standard holiday events: a culturally resonant, family-forward celebration that honors tradition while building new community memories.

Event Format — Programming Zones

1. Grand Marketplace

The Grand Marketplace is the commercial heart of the Festival- a curated bazaar featuring 15+ local vendors and small businesses, with priority placement for minority-owned, women-owned, and Latine-owned businesses. Vendors will offer handmade goods, apparel, jewelry, home décor, cultural products, and holiday gifts. This zone drives the primary economic impact of the event and provides small businesses with access to a high-traffic, culturally aligned consumer audience during the peak holiday shopping season.

2. Holiday Food Court

An authentic culinary experience featuring Latine cuisine and regional favorites- tamales, pozole, pan dulce, atole, birria tacos, elotes, 'Abuelitos Hot Chocolate' and more- alongside family-friendly holiday fare. Food vendors are locally sourced and community-operated, ensuring that food revenue stays within the local economy.

3. Live Cultural Entertainment Stage

A professional main stage featuring folklórico dance companies, mariachi bands, live DJ, and featured performers. Entertainment runs throughout both days and celebrates the full spectrum of Latine musical and artistic traditions. The stage provides a compelling anchor that draws attendees deep into the event and maximizes dwell time.

4. Kids' Holiday Carnival Zone

A dedicated, branded family activity zone featuring carnival Puppeteering, games, craft stations, holiday activities, and bilingual programming for children of all ages. Available for sponsor naming rights- "Kids Zone" at the Title Sponsorship tier. This zone ensures the Festival is a true family destination, extending attendance from individual adults to full family units.

5. Community Resource & Wellness Village

A curated resource area where nonprofit organizations, health providers, financial institutions, and community agencies can connect directly with attendees. Services include health screenings, benefits navigation, financial literacy resources, and community program enrollment. This zone embodies the event's deeper commitment to community wellbeing beyond commerce.

6. Artisan & Craft Vendors

A dedicated wing for local artisans, craftspeople, and independent creators- featuring hand-painted ceramics, textiles, original artwork, holiday ornaments, and culturally inspired handmade goods. This zone complements the Grand Marketplace by providing a more intimate, discovery-oriented shopping experience.

7. Holiday Photo Activation Stations

Branded, holiday-themed photo stations positioned throughout the event grounds- featuring culturally resonant backdrops (Navidad altars, papel picado, luminaria settings, Three Kings scenes)- designed for social media sharing. Co-branded with a Title Sponsorship level, these stations generate organic social media impressions and real-time event amplification.
